Writing Task

Your friend Marco has sent you an email asking about your free time this weekend. He wants to know what you usually do on weekends, what you’re doing this Saturday, and if you want to go out together. Read his message and write a reply.

You should address:

  • Say what you usually do on weekends (use present simple and a frequency adverb)
  • Describe what you are doing this Saturday (use present continuous)
  • Say yes or no to going out together, and suggest a simple activity or time

Plan:

Introduction: Greet Marco and say you are happy to hear from him.

Body paragraph 1: Explain your usual weekend routine using present simple (e.g., ‘I usually go to the cinema’ or ‘I always meet friends’).

Body paragraph 2: Say what you are doing this Saturday using present continuous (e.g., ‘This Saturday I am studying’ or ‘I’m watching a film’).

Conclusion: Agree or disagree with going out, suggest when or what to do, and say goodbye warmly.
