Reading — Movie Night with Friends
Read the passage on the left, then answer the questions one by one.
Movie Night with Friends
Last Friday, Maya and her friends went to the cinema. They watched an action movie called ‘City Heroes’. Maya really enjoyed it because the story was exciting and the special effects were amazing. Her friend Tomas liked the movie too, but he preferred the funny scenes more than the action scenes.
However, their friend Yuki did not like ‘City Heroes’ very much. She thinks action movies are too loud and too fast. Yuki usually watches romantic comedies or dramas because she enjoys emotional stories. She said the movie was okay, but she would rather watch something different next time.
After the cinema, they talked about their favourite types of entertainment. Maya loves watching films and playing video games. Tomas enjoys reading comic books and watching movies. Yuki prefers reading novels and listening to podcasts. Even though they have different preferences, they all agreed that spending time together was the best entertainment of all.
